Delirium Trigger

We're now, up here alone
Terror on the intercom
Can someone save us
Systems malfunction
Blast it this damn machine
Over and out captain

Something lurks
Creeps on the counter top
Somewhere behind you
Parasitic cyst, I can't stand to watch
It's coming up and out of your chest

(Remember when we were young)

A-sit up, right on the table
A photograph, of Earth feeding me a way back
A-frightened I tear alone or maybe not
The only one out there

(Hello...)
hello, when it rings will you answer?

There, in the corner tall short stance it's you
Come on, kill me
You made a good friend, to me
While you were outnumbered and torn
They made us do things...

Oh dear God, I don't feel alive

When you're cut short of misery
Will you pray it be the end
Give a look, surprise, wide eyes to me
Then you'll know just what I am
The scar that triggers, you'll feel
Come know me in a different light, now
Come know me as God

You made a good friend, to me
While you were outnumbered and torn
They made us do things... to know
Run sand hourglass
It's my time, will I be worth?
Spin 'round carousel
When your horse isn't screwed in

Then you'll know just what I am
The scar that triggers, you'll feel
(Subtle, demise, the legitimate cry)
Come know me in a different light, now
Come know me as God
(Raise, forth, lost, cause)

This is probably my favorite Coheed and Cambria song, but that's tough to say. The song picks up aboard the Gloria Vel Vessa, the ship that Coheed and Cambria are being transported to Paris:Earth in. Coheed and Cambria are pretty much there old selves now, and are remembering what is going on. The kind of dreamy little bit at the start of the song could represent this. That is followed directly by a short scream and more of a hard rock bit.

Coheed and Cambria have waken up in these water-tanks they were put in for transport. They bust the glass and start the killing, they're pretty pissed and rightfully so. Coheed is doing the whole blades-in-the-arm thing again, but this is where we see Cambria do some kick assing. She breaks the glass tank with her psychic powers and then sends the shards at a group of soldiers, floating towards them through the air she makes their heads explode and throws their bodies into the wall. The room is cleared, Coheed calmly asks his wife to get the door as they walk away from the carnage. Cue lyrics.

The remaining crew are on the command deck (I'll call it that anyways) and they're scared. They're trying to get help to come, but the intercome isn't working properly.

Something lurks
Creeps on the counter top
Somewhere behind you
Parasitic cyst, I can't stand to watch
It's coming up and out of your chest

Meanwhile, back on Hetricus, the two gaurds left to burn the Kilgannon home find themselves at the mercy of an Onstantine Priest who has been sent to find Claudio. It turns liquid and drops down onto a counter top where it reforms and impales a guard.

A-sit up, right on the table
A photograph, of Earth feeding me a way back
A-frightened I tear alone or maybe not
The only one out there
(Hello...) hello, when it rings will you answer?

I don't really follow this bit. I used to think it was Cambria waking up on the ship and like a monitor showing Earth (the destination) reminding her of Wilhelm's plans. She isn't really in fighting form and is scared, the only one out there that can help her is Coheed, but she is wondering if it will be Coheed or will he have already been injected with the Ciache that makes Cambria the Trigger that turns Coheed into the MonStar. I think I was wrong on that because comics clearly show Cambria messing guards up.

Oh dear God, I don't feel alive
When you're cut short of misery
Will you pray it be the end
Give a look, surprise, wide eyes to me
Then you'll know just what I am
The scar that triggers, you'll feel
Come know me in a different light, now
Come know me as God

This could be Jesse, because I'm pretty sure he shows up to stop the Gloria from making it to Earth. If he we're to destroy the ship, I assume Coh and Cah would be surprised. Since Jesse is a clone of their creator, he is kind of like their God. 'The scar that triggers, you'll feel'.... hmmm, sounds like killing Coheed triggers the Monstar effect or something along those lines. If Jesse destroys the ship it ruins Wilhelms plan of killing the Mariah Antillerea, Jesse lover and an immaculately born powerful mage who is leading the resistance with Jesse against the Red Army. Wilhelms plan was to use Coheed to knock the planet off the solar system, killing everyone on it, and blaming Hohenberger's creations. Sounds like something Jesse would want to stop.

You made a good friend, to me
While you were outnumbered and torn
They made us do things... to know
Run sand hourglass
It's my time, will I be worth?
Spin 'round carousel
When your horse isn't screwed in

These lyrics are quite nonsensical and chopped up. "Spin round carousel when your horse isn't screwed in" sounds like someone is losing their shit. Perhaps Coheed is turning MonStar on us.

Then you'll know just what I am
The scar that triggers, you'll feel
(Subtle, demise, the legitimate cry)
Come know me in a different light, now
Come know me as God
(Raise, forth, lost, cause)

I think Jesse just killed Coheed and Cambria ='(
Epic.

Everything Evil

Wait for..
Everything evil in you comes out
I'll stay when we'll only motivate sound instead, Sergeant.
Make for the table... In hopes that I won't be afraid again
call when enabled
And send the leader out against... I will
Stage a reenactment in a false pretense
Exist inflict
Unworthy unconsciousness
Why debate when the actions suppressed?
Then kill the acquitted
Listen to the sounds that remain in question
In hopes to solidify a truce
Amongst the children and the jury that stands the verdict alive
Here among the dead
Evolve Monstar! Show me the things that I've never wanted done.
Evolve Monstar! Do to me the things I never wanted done...

I... I felt much better than this before.
If they find out to avoid
Then the accidents kept hidden away
But if they stay...

Blood hungry, cannibalistic unfit family ties
In a series of knocks To the young girl's head side
Come write me a letter and paste it on my refrigerator door
Inspected inspector, i think we've found something over here

I... I felt much better than this before.
If they find out to avoid
Then the accidents kept hidden away
But if they stay...

Jesse!
Just come look at what your brother did here!
He did away with me. [x2]

Stay until Wednesday, And write me a child-like letter, pretending.
At war here in Thursday. Let's make this our last day at home by the fence.
Would you run? Would you run?
Would you run down past the fence?
Would you run? Would you run? Would you run down past the fence? (FBI)

And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio!
I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe!
And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio!
I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe! (FBI)[voice fades]

Hey its 2:40am and I have class in less than 6 hours, perfect time for an interpretation! Decided I'd give this song one more listen before I posted and ended up letting it run through to the end 3 times. AND SHE SCREAMED CLAAAUDIO-O, DEAR CLAAAUDIO-O I WISH GOD DAMNIT, YOU'LL MAKE IT IF YOU BELIEVE.... epic. So ya this is another song written before there was a concept that Claudio changed a bit to fit the story, a lot of the lyrics of SSTB aren't as formatted towards the story as I wish.

The lyrics of this verse are just sort of telling the story of what happened in random orders. I'll include some insight from the comics not supported by lyrics. It's like a mixed up overview. Perhaps it could be 'cut' visually into a theatrical experience or storyboarded properly, but I don't see it. The beginning bit is about Coheed waiting for his rage to take over before he kills josephine, because he doesn't want to watch her suffer from the poison. In the comic she leaves patrick in the car and comes inside and starts throwing up. Cambria wakes up and starts consoling her, she has flashbacks of Patrick proposing to her and the grim events of Jersey City. She senses Coheed and via telepathic conversation realizes he plans to use a hammer to do the job. Patrick runs in the house just as Coheed brings the hammer down on Josie, so he books it. A lot of the lyrics sound like the Red Army has made it to the house and are trying to reenact the scene. At some point it seems like someone says something along the lines of "Why are we arguing about this? It never happened." and is responded to with a "Then go kill Claudio!" basically. This is met with some serious Beast action, he lets the blades come out for the first time (due to cambria having a flashback and realizing they have been lied to, too bad she didn't have that one an hour ago...) and massacres a few gaurds before being tranquilized.

Start just sounds cool, deals with coheed and josie if anything. Second line clearly does. I'll know more in late april when I have my comics, but there is a note left on the fridge that the Red Army (debated to be working with the FBI in this situation) find. Who it was written by varies greatly, likely Cambria.

Jesse!
Just come look at what your brother did here!
He did away with me. [x2]

Hmmmm, I think this put was put in there to let lyrical interpretators a chance to figure out that Jesse is Coheed's 'brother' before the comics came out, and that he has killed someone (Josie).

At war here in Thursday. Let's make this our last day at home by the fence.

Wednesday = Cambria, Thursday = Coheed (Or vice versa, we see this in the comics, nicknames.)
This deals directly with the letter written I believe, I think Cambria wrote something about Wednesday and Thursday that made no sense (or makes so much sense I am oblivious to it) in hopes Claudio or Jesse would find it and know they were alive. Perhaps 'At war here in thursday' means Coheed is becoming Monstar. The reapeated part about running down past the fence is Cambria wondering if claudio will escape, seeing as Cambria is pretty much in on whats going on at this point (although she doesn't show fighting powers until delirium trigger I think) and is wondering if he will fulfill his destiny, or run scared in search of a new life in a new solar system. The 'FBI' was written in pre-concept, and likely is left in as a way to show an authority such as Red Army, or the FBI in conjunction with the Red Army, is at the house.

And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio!
I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe!
And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio!
I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe! (FBI)[voice fades]

Big finish! Likely Cambria, possibly Josie (Not possible!? It could be. I won't spoil that bit for you just yet)
I think it's Cambria because she has her flashbacks/aheads and realizes that they won't make it, regardless of him believing in his destiny or not. What ever do I mean? Keep reading.

I left the chorus out 'cause I don't really get it. Probably written before hand, sounds like part of a song about a guy who 'accidentally' kills someone in a fit of rage, or is at least refering to it as an accident. What Coheed did was no accident, so it's iffy.
